How To Stretch At The Wheel - 3 Movements To Improve Posture

How To Stretch At The Wheel - 3 Moves To Improve Posture & Concentration

Poor Body Position
FACT - every hour of (seated) TV watching we do cuts about 22 minutes from our life span (1). Now ask yourself this question - How many hours of life do I lose each day?
Sitting, watching TV, working at a desk or driving light or Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles are all classified as sitting activities. Sitting less would be better and give you more years, but how can you make a living if your job is to sit? The answer – just as it is with any job is to analyse the position you are working in and perform it in the most ideal position to mitigate any risk of injury.
How you sit correlates closely with other activities (Mitchell et al 2008) so the most important thing to do first and foremost is to sit correctly and there are checklists available at most workplaces to help you. If not  contact me.
3 Moves To Improve Posture & Concentration
It is not realistic to ask a truck driver or any Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicle driver to just pull over for five minutes every hour and do stretches.
I’ve created three simple stretches that will help with your posture and mental alertness while still staying in the chair.
You can repeat these three exercises between 5 to 10 times, several times a day if you wish.
