VARY YOUR EXERCISE ROUTINE

Whenever you perform a new activity it’s likely that you will have to adjust your technique before you get it right. In other words,we’re inefficient when performing new activities. In life we've been taught to abhor inefficiency but in more metabolic pursuits inefficiency is a blessing. When regularly changing your exercise program, the inefficiency from new stimulus will coax your body into burning more calories - and more fat - for fuel. For example, if you always run for cardio training, your body will get used to the same (Saggital plane) movement and your results could be compromised. Try replacing the run for some agility or speed work such as a floor-to-ceiling ball to challenge your hand-to-eye coordination and have some fun. This exercise session incorporates the frontal and transverse planes that challenge the body outside the fundamental forward and backwards movement through the saggital plane.
